For more than 25 years, the Emily Hoysradt Art Gallery at the YWCA of Ulster County has been providing a venue for area artists to display their works. The gallery was dedicated in 1979 to Emily Hoysradt, a long-time YWCA member and volunteer who taught art classes at the YWCA. Two of her paintings are currently on display at the YWCA's main office at 209 Clinton Avenue in Kingston.

Since its inception, the gallery's purpose has been to empower regional artists and bring a variety of artworks to the public without charge. Each show, which can include such mediums as photography, sculpture, mosaics, murals, posters, watercolors, pen and ink drawings, and quilts, runs for one month. Artists pay a 20% commission to the YWCA for any sales during their show.

Unless otherwise, stated, the gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm. Meet-the-Artist Receptions can also be arranged. To schedule a showing of your work or visit an exhibit in progress, contact the:
